1. Who we are

No. 2026/399444/07), South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information collected through tena.energy under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). 2. What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, mobile number, installation address, the home and options you choose, any notes, the promo code and how you chose to pay. When you press Pay, these details are also stored with our website host so we can help if the payment does not go through.
- When you pay: the payment reference and status from our payment provider, Stitch. We never see your card or banking details.
- When you pay an invoice: the invoice number, amount, your name, email, phone and company.
- Where you came from: the ad tags in the link you arrived on (such as utm_source), kept with your order so we know which advert worked.
- When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email: what you send us.
3. How we use it
To process your order, book and carry out your installation, invoice you, provide the TENA software and support, and answer your questions. Only if you accept cookies: to measure which of our adverts work.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who work for us: Stitch (payments), Netlify (website hosting and forms), our customer system, Xero (invoices), and our email and WhatsApp providers. If you accept cookies, Meta also receives the events described below and, when you order, your email, phone number, first name and postal code in hashed (scrambled) form, to measure our adverts. 6. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You may object to its use, and you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa). Email info@tena.energy to use these rights.
7. Cookies and similar storage
Always (needed for the site to work): your cookie choice (stored in your browser as tena_consent), and for the length of your visit where you came from, the ad tags in your link and your order reference. These make the WhatsApp buttons and the checkout work and are not used for tracking.
Only if you choose “Accept”: the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms), which sets cookies such as _fbp and tells Meta about your visit: pages viewed, viewing prices, starting checkout, paying, and tapping WhatsApp or phone links. We never send Meta what you type into our forms. If you decline, the Meta pixel is not loaded.
Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To change your cookie choice, clear this site’s data in your browser; the cookie notice will appear again.
